Teddi Ismond has been a top trainer and USEF "R" Horse show Judge for over 35 years. Teddi trained for 8 years as a junior with USET Gold Medal winner George Morris, and was one of his top riders. Her dedication as a junior helped her to gain the knowledge and confidence she would later use to train her own students. She placed in both the Medal and Maclay finals and won numerous championships in the Junior Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation on the A Circuit. She then went on to train and manage with Bernie Traurig at her parents farm Hunting Valley Farm in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
Chaz Harpman is our pro and second instructor at HVF. Chaz has been riding since before he can remember and has had the benefit of a year in Europe riding and perfecting his technique. Chaz is wonderful with young or problem horses, and also teaches clients across our entire spectrum of hunters, jumpers and equitation students.
Teddi continues to pass on her knowledge to her students, who have won many National and State titles in the Hunters, Ponies, Equitation and the Jumpers.
In 2010 alone, Teddi's students swept the VHSA Medal Finals, Bryant Trophy Finals and Tad Coffin Equitation Finals. Teddi also coached the High A/O Jumper Classic winner at Harrisburg, and the same client was Reserve Champion in the High Amateur Jumper Division at the Pennsylvania National and Washington National Horse Shows in 2010.
